2011 Annual Meeting
April 12, 2011
The 2011 annual meeting of the Town of Sheridan was called to order at
7:00 PM by Chm. Bartlett. Notice of the meeting was by posting and by
publishing in the Dunn County News. A total of 8 people were present at
the meeting.
Minutes of the 2010 annual meeting were read. M/S to accept the minutes as read. Motion passed.
The 2010 financial report was presented. M/S to accept the report as presented. Motion passed.
The 2010 financial report of the Prairie Farm-Sheridan Fire Department
was given by Gary Allram. M/S to accept the report as presented. Motion
passed. Gary also reported that the fire department plans to
purchase a new fire truck this year, with most of the funding coming
from a grant of $200,000.
OLD BUSINESS:
The bridge on 1450th Ave will probably be replaced this year. Plans are to replace the bridge with 3 steel culverts.
NEW BUSINESS:
An addition is being planned to the town hall
this year. The plans have been sent to the state for approval.
The town board is also waiting for the state legislature to
consider and possibly adopt changes to the Prevailing Wage Law before
proceeding with bids for the project.
If the bridge on 1450th
Ave is replaced this year, the board plans to do only about .50
mi of roadwork this year, which would be on 490th St north of County
Road V.
M/S to again join the Wisconsin Towns Association. Motion passed.
M/S to allow the board to set the date for the annual meeting in 2012. Motion passed.
M/S to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed.
